In November, your ballot will include a referendum question about changing and limiting Maine’s election laws.
The ballot question will say:
“Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?”
In response to heavy rain in the forecast for Saturday, the Rally to Defend Our Voting Rights will be hosted at the Holocaust and Human Rights Center on the University of Maine at Augusta campus.
The time for the rally is still Saturday at 2 p.m.
