In November, your ballot will include a referendum question about changing and limiting Maine’s election laws.
Currently, it is drafted to say:
“Do you want to change Maine election laws to require voters to show ID before voting, end ongoing absentee voting for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, eliminate two days of absentee voting, and make other changes to our elections?”
Have you ever:
✅ Used a ballot drop box?
✅ Requested an absentee ballot over the phone?
✅ Delivered a ballot for a relative or neighbor?
✅ Signed up for ongoing absentee voting?
✅ Cast your ballot during the last 2 days of early absentee voting?
We need YOU to speak up and share your story! The Legislature has scheduled a public hearing for a referendum that attacks Maine’s voting system and would effectively dismantle absentee voting.
